Two sterile jars to grow your own liquid culture

Two Luer-lock jars with ready-to-use, sterile nutrient solution – you inoculate them once, the mycelium grows inside, and from then on you can use them to inject further substrates for weeks. The professional tool for propagating mushroom cultures cost-effectively and contamination-free.

What you get

Two pre-sterilized 700 ml jars, each filled with 400 ml of balanced nutrient solution (malt + yeast). Lid with Luer-lock port (for syringe injection) and self-healing septum for repeated withdrawal, plus a filter for gas exchange.

Suitable for

For the propagation of existing mushroom cultures: Oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus), King trumpet mushroom (Pleurotus eryngii), Shiitake (Lentinula edodes), Lion's mane (Hericium erinaceus), Reishi (Ganoderma spp.), Button mushroom (Agaricus bisporus) and many more. For advanced users who have already worked with agar or ready-made liquid culture.

How to use it

1. Inoculate: Inject 1–2 ml of sterile mycelium culture (agar wedge, spore solution, or existing LC) through the Luer-lock port.
2. Colonization (7–14 days): Store in the dark at 22–25 °C, swirl briefly every day.
3. Check culture: When white mycelium clouds are visible in the jar and the solution becomes slightly cloudy → ready to use.
4. Withdraw: Draw up using a sterile 10 ml syringe through the port, 3–5 ml per grain spawn bag.
5. Use: Inoculate grain spawn or directly inoculate all-in-one bags.

Good to know

Mycelium culture for inoculation is not included. Shelf life of 3–6 months when refrigerated (2–8 °C) after completion. Can be used multiple times contamination-free if handled correctly. Shipped from Erlangen.
