Shipping policy

This page summarises how orders are processed and shipped by us. It supplements § 3 and § 4 of our Terms of Service.

Processing time

We produce to order. Substrates, grain spawn and comparable sterile products are freshly autoclaved once your order has come in — that usually takes one to two working days. The shipment then goes out; delivery takes place within no more than five working days from conclusion of the contract to Germany, seven working days to Austria and ten working days to Italy, Denmark and Sweden.

The reason for the processing time is the same as the reason for the shelf life: nothing sits in storage for weeks, where every day raises the risk of contamination.

Shipping costs

We charge per order, depending on the delivery country:

Germany — standard (delivery usually 1–3 working days after dispatch), staggered by weight: up to 2 kg €4.90, up to 5 kg €5.90, up to 10 kg €6.90, over 10 kg €8.90. Free shipping from an order value of €69.
Austria, Italy, Denmark, Sweden — standard (delivery usually 3–6 working days after dispatch), staggered by weight: up to 2 kg €11.90, up to 5 kg €15.90, up to 10 kg €22.00, over 10 kg €25.40.

The shipping costs are shown to you separately again in the cart and before you place your order. All prices include statutory VAT; no customs duties or import charges apply for deliveries within the European Union.

Delivery area

We deliver to delivery addresses in Germany, Austria, Italy, Denmark and Sweden. Orders with a delivery address in any other country are not accepted at checkout.

We do not ship fresh mushrooms

Fresh edible mushrooms are so perishable that shipping would do justice neither to the product nor to you. You can get them on Saturdays at the Erlangen weekly market and through Marktschwärmer — where and when is set out under Fresh mushrooms in Erlangen.

Shipping therefore only concerns growing supplies: substrate, grain spawn, cultures and accessories.

Sensitive shipments

Living and sterile goods (liquid cultures, pure cultures, colonised bags) are packed so that they arrive in perfect condition. The shipping method and the shipping days may differ for these items. Please accept such shipments without delay and check them immediately — that is what makes it possible to establish their condition on delivery.
