At Meisterpilze we are a small, passionate team driven by a love of nature, science and sustainable innovation.
Luis grew up in Portugal, among fields, animals and the smells of the earth. Later he found in chemistry a language that deepened his curiosity about life.
Jonas, born in Erlangen, came to mushrooms through biology.
Our core team is Luis and Jonas – but we are not alone: without a great group of friends who support us in marketing, production, sales and technology, we would not have come this far.
Everything we sell is freshly autoclaved here in Erlangen, made to order rather than from stock. That costs us one to two days of processing time and gives you the certainty that nothing sat in a warehouse for weeks.
A chemist and a biologist start every culture themselves and check it under the microscope. Every batch is documented.
